Kas and Mikaere had been nearly inseperable since they'd gotten back together, and that time was 3 years ago. Now he was coming to take her for a walk, something she enjoyed. Spotting him coming up the road, reaching his hand out to her.

"Hi." He said with an easy smile, Kas face lit up. He was in a good mood, so she knew it'd been a better day. "Hi yourself." She said quietly, kissing his cheek, her hand taking his. "Where we going today?"

"A trip down memory lane. I promise, nothing bad." He'd planned something, and that made her happy. His plans always ended up wonderful for the two of them.

"I'm okay with that."

They started off, the walk was normally quiet, but it felt nice just being with each other. As they passed the park, Dark pointed to a picnic table they'd sat and talked late into the night on for the weeks after she'd come back.

"Stayed up till 3 am, talking about what made us sad, pissed us off.." He started, Kas finishing, "Who we wanted to be with. It's where I said I liked you."

He grinned, "Where I asked you if you were ready to date again. You said yes."

Kas nodded, giggling as they walked on. Now they passed the fountain, where he'd given her their first kiss.

"Our first kiss." She said before he did, and he nodded, stopping in the same spot to draw her to him, kissing her as soft as he had the first time, surprising Kas, her arms going around his neck with a soft sound.

He kissed her again, before taking her hand once more. "One more place, then I promise to take you home. Okay?"

Kas nodded, untying her hoodie from her waist to put it on as they walked. "Where to?"

"Where everything started." He answered, leaving Kas momentarily confused, until they rounded the corner to be outside of the high school.

She looked at the building, enough of a distraction for Mika to reach for his pocket, pulling out a small box, only instead of kneeling in front of her, his arms went around her middle, her back againest his chest as he put the box in her hand, whispering to her ear.

"This is where I met you, when I realized you were only trying to help us. When I came to realize I cared about you. This is where we started, as friends. But." He waited till she opened the box, revealing the silver band with a simple sapphire. "Now we're more, and I want to show you, our story started here, but it'll end with us together. I hope. Kas.."

She turned then in his arms, her hands shaking as they held the box, and tears in her eyes. His hand touched her cheek, which she leant to with a soft smile.

"Will you please marry me?"

Kas hesitated, only for a second, before nodding, not able to find her voice at the moment. So he took the ring from the box, sliding it on her finger before kissing her cheek, asking softly, "Please say something."

She smiled then, her voice in a playfully tear filled sounding tone, "You can't do anything traditionally can you? You're supposed to get me to cry AFTER you finish asking.."

He laughed, before her lips covered his, holding onto him for dear life. Oh yes, she was more than happy to be his future wife.
